On Saturday, 27th April, 2013 at 7 pm at St. Maurice’s Church, Eglingham, the Northumbria Community in association with Glendale Crossing Places are presenting Celtic Fire, the story of St. Cuthbert, one of our Northumbrian Celtic Saints, in music, dance, drama and storytelling.
The story of Cuthbert resonates with conflict and peace, economic and political unrest, isolation and community, heartache and disease, darkness and light, faith and fear, violence and reconciliation. The story of his life from childhood to his death is told using songs, stories and dances written and performed by members of the Northumbria Community who will be joined on this occasion by some pupils from Glendale Middle School. The performance lasts approximately 90 minutes and is followed by a buffet supper.
Tickets are available in advance from The Cheviot Centre and Brands Newsagents in Wooler or on the door.
