Exiles

Over the years, The Northumbria Community, along with many other Christians around the world, has been exploring the metaphor of exile as a way of coming to understand a deep sense of not belonging to the world in which we live, work and worship. The metaphor is also a way of gaining awareness and compassion for those who are literally in exile, such as political refugees and asylum seekers.   May this month of readings help us, as strangers and pilgrims, to continue to seek God, alone and together.
